Una oportunitat per descobrir en directe una de les bandes que m\u00e9s ha contribu\u00eft a mantenir viu i renovar el llenguatge del funk instrumental contemporani.<\/p>\n<h2>The New Mastersounds, referents del funk instrumental<\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Formats a finals dels anys noranta a Leeds, <strong>The New Mastersounds van recuperar l\u2019ess\u00e8ncia del funk instrumental<\/strong> i la van traslladar a un terreny contemporani, combinant-la amb <strong>influ\u00e8ncies del soul, el jazz i el rock<\/strong>. El seu so beu de referents com James Brown, The Meters, Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff o Jimi Hendrix, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 d\u2019una escena jazz-funk m\u00e9s \u00e0mplia que ha marcat la traject\u00f2ria del grup.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">La banda va publicar el seu primer single, \u00abOne Note Brown\u00bb, l\u2019any 2000, popularitzat pel llegendari DJ de funk i soul <strong>Keb Darge<\/strong>. Un any despr\u00e9s arribaria <em>Nervous<\/em>, el seu primer \u00e0lbum, al qual seguiria una extensa discografia que inclou t\u00edtols com <em>Be Yourself<\/em>, <em>Move On<\/em>, <em>This Is What We Do<\/em>, <em>102%<\/em> i <em>Ten Years On<\/em>. El grup tamb\u00e9 va crear el seu propi segell discogr\u00e0fic, <strong>One Note Records<\/strong>, l\u2019any 2003.<\/p>\n<p>Al llarg de m\u00e9s de dues d\u00e8cades, <strong>The New Mastersounds han actuat en escenaris d\u2019Europa, els Estats Units i el Jap\u00f3<\/strong>, i han compartit projectes i col\u00b7laboracions amb m\u00fasics com Lou Donaldson, Quantic i Kenny Dope.
